Alex Ovechkin scored his 930th career goal during the Washington Capitals' 5-3 loss to the Seattle Kraken on Sunday. Ovechkin found the net at even strength during the first period to claim his first goal of the season, with assists from brothers Ilya Protas and Aliaksei Protas.
The goal marked the first time Ovechkin scored against Kraken goaltender Joey Daccord across five career meetings. Daccord became the 190th different goaltender Ovechkin has scored against, extending his NHL record, while Ilya Protas became the 128th different player to record an assist on an Ovechkin goal.
