Michkov could earn himself a massive long-term pay day if he can maintain his new standard of play.

Philadelphia Flyers winger Matvei Michkov has posted 10 goals in 17 games during the final year of his entry-level contract. Despite his strong start, sources report that contract discussions between the Flyers and Michkov's camp have not yet taken place. The franchise is reportedly open to exploring multiple contract options rather than strictly pursuing a bridge deal.
A potential three-year bridge deal could target an average annual value around Travis Konecny's $8.75 million. If Michkov sustains his high-scoring pace and signs long term, sources suggest Cutter Gauthier's six-year, $81 million deal could serve as a primary comparable.
