The Story in 60 Seconds

Only two former Atlanta Thrashers players remain active in the NHL following the retirements of Bryan Little and Blake Wheeler. Zach Bogosian, drafted third overall in 2008, and Evander Kane, selected fourth overall in 2009, are the final two active NHL players who skated for the franchise prior to its relocation to Winnipeg in 2011.

Bogosian won a Stanley Cup with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020 and signed a one-year deal with the Minnesota Wild in July 2026. Kane, who surpassed 1,000 career NHL games with the Vancouver Canucks in March 2026, is currently an unrestricted free agent.
