Former Winnipeg Jets forward Kevin Hayes has retired from professional hockey following a 12-season career in the NHL. Originally drafted 24th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2010, Hayes entered the league as a free agent with the New York Rangers in 2014, playing 361 games across five seasons in Manhattan before being traded to Winnipeg midway through the 2018-19 season.
Hayes concluded his career with a two-season stint playing for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Over the course of 805 career regular-season NHL games, Hayes registered 185 goals and 446 points, and he was also recognized as a finalist for the Bill Masterton Trophy during the 2021-22 season.
