The Winnipeg Jets kick off their 84-game 2026-27 NHL regular season at Canada Life Centre against the Boston Bruins. Goaltender Stuart Skinner is confirmed to make his official Jets debut, while top prospect Viggo Bjork and defenseman Tyrel Bauer make their NHL debuts. Defenceman Elias Salomonsson is the lone player on Winnipeg's opening injury report.
The Boston Bruins arrive with newly named captain David Pastrnak and offseason acquisition JJ Peterka on their top line, while Jeremy Swayman starts in net. Boston remains without defenseman Charlie McAvoy, who is serving a six-game suspension, and forward Matthew Poitras, who is sidelined with a lower-body injury.
