Parramatta have settled on a replacement for long-term boss Jim Sarantinos as they officially announce the signing of the Roosters’ premiership star.
Newly appointed Parramatta Eels chief executive Mike Rush has outlined his strategy to return the club to premiership contention. Replacing Jim Sarantinos, Rush arrives after 13 years as CEO of Super League side St Helens, where he oversaw five titles. He stated that he intends to make difficult decisions, align salary cap management with recruitment, and make the team competitive quickly rather than undergoing an extended rebuild.
Rush expressed strong support for head coach Jason Ryles, whom he previously attempted to recruit during his tenure in England. The Eels have already secured commitments from Spencer Leniu, Jarome Luai, and Jaydn Su’A for the 2027 season, while targeting Newcastle centre Bradman Best. Parramatta is also evaluating recruitment staff following missed interest in Peter O'Sullivan, who joined the Brisbane Broncos.
