Here’s another reason the Samoa v Tonga World Cup clash promises to be one of the explosive games in rugby league this year.
Tonga forward Stefano Utoikamanu is preparing to face Samoa and prop Francis Molo at CommBank Stadium, a year after being knocked out by Molo in the opening minute of his Tongan debut. Utoikamanu admitted he was angry after the high shot during last year's Pacific Nations Championships, but stated the incident is now in the past as both players prepare for Sunday's Rugby League World Cup clash.
Utoikamanu will start from the bench for Tonga under coach Kristian Woolf, while Molo starts in the Samoan front row. The winner of the sold-out encounter in Parramatta is expected to advance to a semi-final against New Zealand in Newcastle, while the defeated team will remain in Sydney to face Australia.
