Leigh Leopards have completed the signing of 20-year-old playmaker Jack Purtill from Wigan Warriors for the 2027 season. The versatile talent has agreed to a permanent deal to join Adrian Lam's squad, marking Leigh's second confirmed addition for that campaign. While the exact contract length was not disclosed, the club views him as a long-term squad member.
Purtill primarily covers hooker, loose forward, and the halfback positions. He follows his father, Kieron Purtill, who previously played and coached at Leigh. Director of Rugby Andrew Henderson praised Purtill's development, work ethic, and utility value following the official announcement.
