England head coach Brian McDermott calls for Super League to accept investment from Australia's NRL in order to improve the English game.

England head coach Brian McDermott has called on Super League to accept investment from Australia's NRL to strengthen the European competition. Negotiations remain ongoing after Super League clubs previously turned down a £35m proposal from the Australian Rugby League Commission and missed an October 15 deadline to reach a deal.
McDermott highlighted the financial disparity between the competitions, noting that investment would improve marketing and develop youth pathways in England. Any completed partnership is reportedly expected to include provisions pushing for the inclusion of the London Broncos in the top flight.
