The Story in 60 Seconds

Electronic music duo Peking Duk, featuring Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles, confirmed they will not perform at the NRL Grand Final at Sydney's Accor Stadium. The band dismissed speculation via social media, humorously noting they never received a call-up and were already booked to perform in Cairns, alongside referencing past acts.

The denial follows earlier withdrawals by Australian artists Tones and I and rock band Silverchair. Despite the entertainment dropouts, NRL chairman Peter V'landys stated that fans can anticipate a major surprise pre-game act eleven minutes before kickoff, while retired South Sydney player Jai Arrow will receive an emotional lap of honour.
