The 19-year-old is missing the World Cup with a hamstring injury.

The Gold Coast Titans have confirmed that 19-year-old forward Cooper Bai will leave the club at the end of the 2027 season. Bai was given permission to open contract discussions early with the PNG Chiefs, meeting with the prospective club in Port Moresby ahead of the November 1 market deadline.
A potential four-year contract with the PNG Chiefs is reportedly worth $3 million under head coach Willie Peters. Although clubs like the Melbourne Storm and Sydney Roosters are also monitoring the lock, his father and Chiefs board member Marcus Bai confirmed he will not take part in negotiations.
