Heartbreaking new details have emerged about two footy-mad boys who died six days apart, as their grieving mothers break their silence.

Two mothers have connected to support each other following the deaths by suicide of their young sons just six days apart. Kaiyah Kennedy, 12, and Treyvon Te Tahi Bradshaw, 13, both played rugby league for the Gold Coast's Coomera Cutters, though they did not know each other. After Treyvon died on September 26 and Kaiyah passed away on October 2, Kaiyah's mother Breanna reached out to Treyvon's mother Sarah online to share their shared grief.
Following the tragedies, Coomera Cutters president Joe Smith announced plans for an event providing mental health and bereavement support for young players. Separate fundraisers established for both families have raised more than $50,000 combined, as the club urged teammates and the broader community to support one another.
