England head coach Stuart Barrow insists his side remain positive of reaching the Women's Rugby League World Cup semi-finals, despite being 'blown away' in a 78-0 drubbing by Australia on Saturday.

England head coach Stuart Barrow insists his squad remains positive about qualifying for the Women's Rugby League World Cup semi-finals despite suffering a heavy 78-0 defeat against Australia. The Jillaroos scored 15 tries in Perth, leading 36-0 by half-time, including two early tries from Jaime Chapman. England now head to Wollongong to play Samoa on Friday in a winner-takes-all match to decide second place in Group A.
Barrow praised the effort and commitment of his young side, noting that the players competed far better than in their previous 90-4 defeat against Australia in Las Vegas. England opened their World Cup campaign with a 70-6 win over Wales, and Barrow stressed the need to replicate those strong moments in Friday's decisive pool game.
