Sheffield Eagles have appointed former Great Britain scrum-half Ryan Sheridan as their new head coach. The 51-year-old replaces Craig Lingard following a season in which Sheffield finished seventh in the Championship and reached the second stage of the play-offs.
Sheridan originally began his professional playing career with Sheffield between 1992 and 1996 before representing clubs including Leeds Rhinos and Castleford Tigers. His recent coaching background includes serving as an interim head coach at Catalans Dragons, alongside previous coaching roles at Featherstone Rovers, Castleford, Warrington Wolves, and London Broncos.
