Wakefield Trinity’s TWO preferred World Club Challenge locations

Wakefield Trinity owner Matt Ellis revealed the club would prefer to host the World Club Challenge at either their home ground, DIY Kitchens Stadium, or Barnsley's Oakwell stadium if they win the Super League Grand Final against Warrington. Trinity are preparing for their first-ever Grand Final appearance at Old Trafford, seeking their first major trophy of the Super League era.

Ellis noted that Oakwell, which holds over 23,000 spectators and hosted Trinity's inaugural Super League home match in 1998, would provide double the capacity of their current venue. Ellis added that Rugby League Commercial managing director Rhodri Jones suggested Elland Road, but reiterated his focus remains strictly on the two preferred options.
