He was originally supposed to be heading to the Super League.

St George Illawarra Dragons winger Tyrell Sloan has reportedly emerged as a potential target for the Parramatta Eels, according to journalist Paul Kent. Sloan previously agreed to a multi-year deal to join English Super League side Castleford Tigers for 2027 alongside Damien Cook and Mat Feagai. However, following the departure of Tigers coach Ryan Carr, Sloan expressed a desire in August to remain in the NRL.
The Eels are reportedly considering Sloan as a replacement for Josh Addo-Carr, who faces a potential 12-match NRL suspension after testing positive for cocaine in September. While the Dragons previously sought salary cap space to retain Sloan, Kent reports that Parramatta could offer him an NRL lifeline on a lower-cost deal if Addo-Carr is sidelined.
