Leicester head coach Geoff Parling believes there is still “loads to improve on” following their 24-19 win over Newcastle at Kingston Park.

Leicester Tigers head coach Geoff Parling highlighted his squad's post-match disappointment as "a great sign" following a 24-19 victory over Newcastle at Kingston Park. Parling noted that while the squad celebrated their first campaign win, the players felt frustrated knowing they had much to improve. Leicester led 17-5 at halftime through tries from Samiuela Moli and Adam Radwan, alongside a Billy Searle penalty, before holding off Newcastle's second-half fightback.
Newcastle scored through Obi Ene, George McGuigan, and Cam Jordan, but fell just short as Will Hurd added a crucial try for Leicester. Newcastle head coach Dan McFarland expressed disappointment with his side's lack of accuracy in key areas following their second straight Premiership defeat. Despite managing a mounting injury list, Parling insisted Leicester will make no excuses as they prepare to face Gloucester next Friday.
