INJURY UPDATE: Springbok Dan du Preez has suffered a hamstring injury that will sideline him for several weeks, dealing Bath a blow ahead of Friday’s derby against Gloucester in the Gallagher PREM.

Bath head of rugby Johann van Graan has confirmed that Springbok number eight Dan du Preez will miss several weeks due to a torn hamstring. The South African forward, who joined Bath from Sale Sharks, suffered the injury prior to last weekend's 32-14 Champions Cup loss to Montpellier and will miss upcoming Gallagher PREM fixtures against Gloucester and Sale.
Bath face this setback amid back-to-back defeats against Northampton Saints and Montpellier, though back-rower Jaco Coetzee recently made his return from an ACL injury. The club is also anticipating the return of several players in the coming weeks, including Miles Reid, Will Muir, Henry Arundell, and Tom de Glanville, while Sam Underhill remains out until December.
