Bristol Bears moved into third place in the Prem table with a hard-fought 20-7 win over Exeter Chiefs in appalling conditions at Ashton Gate.

Bristol Bears moved up to third in the Premiership table following a hard-fought 20-7 victory over Exeter Chiefs at Ashton Gate. In stormy, rain-soaked conditions, Bristol took control just before halftime when Gabriel Ibitoye scored in the corner off a long pass from Harry Randall. James Williams added a touchline conversion and a penalty to establish a 10-0 interval lead for the hosts.
Exeter fought back in the second half when Greg Fisilau was driven over for a try converted by Henry Slade. However, the Chiefs failed to capitalize on late opportunities, while Williams slotted another penalty for Bristol. Luka Ivanishvili sealed the victory with a late try, securing Bristol's fifth straight league win over Rob Baxter's side and denying Exeter a losing bonus point.
