Christ Tshiunza has been linked with a move back to Wales to keep his World Cup dream alive

Sale Sharks are aiming to keep back-row Christ Tshiunza despite Welsh clubs attempting to bring him back to Wales ahead of the next Rugby World Cup. The 24-year-old signed a one-year deal with Sale from Exeter Chiefs, but he remains ineligible for international selection under the 25-cap rule because he holds only 15 caps and had contract offers from Welsh teams.
Cardiff are leading the pursuit to sign Tshiunza on a permanent deal, with Ospreys also having shown interest. Sale director of rugby Alex Sanderson stated that the club hopes to convince him to stay, noting they would need to significantly outbid Welsh offers if Tshiunza chooses to prioritize international eligibility.
