The Hurricanes have reached terms on a one-year contract extension with hooker Jacob Devery, keeping him with the club for a sixth year.

The Hurricanes have confirmed a one-year contract extension for hooker Jacob Devery, securing him with the Super Rugby Pacific club through the 2027 season. The three-cap Maori All Black featured in eight matches during the Hurricanes' championship run earlier this year, including an appearance off the bench in the final.
Devery debuted for the Hurricanes in 2022 after progressing through the club's development pathway. Head coach Clark Laidlaw praised Devery's leadership and consistency, confirming he will be part of a four-hooker rotation alongside Asafo Aumua, Vernon Bason, and Raymond Tuputupu following recent contract renewals for Harry Godfrey and Brett Cameron.
