Shaun Edwards revealed he held talks with England men's head coach Steve Borthwick about joining the coaching staff, but was told the current setup was settled. The 60-year-old defense coach subsequently signed with Argentina under Felipe Contepomi through the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia. Edwards stated he still harbors ambitions to coach England's men and win Six Nations titles with them.
Argentina has also given Edwards permission to continue his consulting role with England Women's team during the Women's Six Nations if required. Edwards recently left the France national team setup after securing three Six Nations titles during his tenure.
