Fiji Rugby has confirmed the appointment of Jake White as the new head coach of the Flying Fijians ahead of the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia. The 2007 World Cup-winning former Springbok coach will be tasked with guiding the national team into the tournament, with Fiji Rugby citing his championship-winning record and international pedigree.
Analysts Keo and Zels argue that the move could add vital structure, discipline, and consistency to Fiji's natural attacking talent. White faces the challenge of managing player availability across European leagues, while a potential warm-up match against South Africa looms ahead of the tournament.
