Mallett: De Villiers Bok Mr Reliable

Former South Africa coach Nick Mallett praised openside flank Paul de Villiers following the Springboks' loss to the Wallabies in Perth. Speaking on the Talking Boks podcast, Mallett described de Villiers as completely reliable and highlighted the impressive depth coach Rassie Erasmus possesses across the loose trio alongside Cameron Hanekom, Ruan Venter, and BJ Dixon.

Mallett also stated he expects Erasmus to field a strong squad for the Nations Championship matches against Italy, France, and Ireland in November. He dismissed workload concerns for veteran players, arguing that senior figures such as Eben Etzebeth, Siya Kolisi, and Pieter-Steph du Toit will easily manage the tour.
