Rob Baxter wants Exeter Chiefs to embrace the challenge of facing six-time French champions Toulouse as they return to Europe’s top competition.

Exeter Chiefs director of rugby Rob Baxter has challenged his squad to embrace the test of facing French champions Toulouse in their Champions Cup opener on October 18, 2026. The clash takes place at Stadium de Toulouse with a 3:15pm kick-off.
Baxter believes the fixture represents one of the toughest assignments in club rugby. Exeter return to Europe's premier tournament following a run to last season's Premiership final, facing a Toulouse side that has won six of the last eight French titles.
