The emotional scenes came just days after another former player revealed they had been diagnosed with MND

South Sydney Rabbitohs player Jai Arrow and former Wallabies hooker Nathan Charles were honored with an emotional lap around Sydney's Accor Stadium ahead of the NRL Grand Final. Singer Amy Shark performed 'You'll Never Walk Alone' as both athletes, who are battling motor neurone disease (MND), were driven around the field in front of an applauding crowd.
Arrow retired earlier this year after revealing his diagnosis in May, while Charles went public with his own diagnosis a week prior. NRL executive chairman Peter V'landys praised Arrow and Charles as inspirations, while Arrow pledged to continue working with MND Australia to raise awareness.
