La Rochelle wing Dillyn Leyds and Bath No 8 Dan du Preez scored tries in winning efforts in another busy weekend for South Africans abroad.

South African players delivered prominent performances across Europe over the weekend, highlighted by tries from Dillyn Leyds and Dan du Preez. Leyds crossed the whitewash in the first half to help La Rochelle secure a 38-13 victory over Clermont in France's Top 14. In the English Premiership, Du Preez and Bernard van der Linde both dotted down as Johann van Graan's Bath edged the Exeter Chiefs 40-34.
Several other South Africans featured across both leagues. In the Top 14, Tiaan Jacobs won with Bordeaux Bègles, while Rob du Preez helped Bayonne edge Stade Français 35-32. In the Premiership, Jean Kleyn featured in Gloucester's 48-0 shutout of Harlequins, and Jacques Vermeulen was sent off with a first-half red card during Sale Sharks' 21-17 victory against Saracens.
