Stormers secure signature of viral winger

The Stormers have officially announced the permanent signing of 25-year-old winger Lleyton Davids to a professional contract. Davids, a former three-time South African triple-jump champion, earned the deal following an impressive season in Boland club rugby playing for Robertson Town RFC.

The speedster caught the franchise's eye by scoring 31 tries in 19 club matches this season. Davids recently joined pre-season preparations for the United Rugby Championship and scored a try during a 40-minute appearance in the Stormers' 26-38 friendly loss to the Vodacom Bulls.
