The latest stories making headlines on Sunday, October 11

Former Wales hooker Scott Baldwin has urged Steve Tandy to convince retired scrum-half Gareth Davies to return for the Rugby World Cup. Baldwin made the plea following the 36-year-old's pivotal second-half display in the Scarlets' dramatic 27-26 comeback win against Benetton. Meanwhile, Wales international Taulupe Faletau was withdrawn at the last minute with a niggle before Cardiff suffered a 29-5 defeat to Leinster in Dublin.
Tandy currently has Tomos Williams as his primary number nine alongside Kieran Hardy and Reuben Morgan-Williams. In other weekend rugby action, Saracens head coach Joe Shaw praised Maro Itoje after a standout performance at blindside flanker guided his side to a 30-7 bonus-point victory over Bristol Bears at StoneX Stadium.
