La Rochelle : “Ça va très bien” Atonio raconte sa nouvelle vie de coach

Former Stade Rochelais prop Uini Atonio has shared insights into his new role as the scrum coach for his longtime Top 14 club. Atonio transitioned into coaching following an abrupt end to his professional playing career due to a medical condition.

Atonio was forced to retire as a player suddenly in January 2026 because of heart issues. Despite the unexpected conclusion to his playing days, he reported that he is doing very well in his current coaching position with La Rochelle.
