Former France international prop Uini Atonio has begun a new chapter in his career by becoming the scrum coach for Stade Rochelais this season. The transition follows a cardiac event earlier in the year that forced him into an abrupt retirement from professional playing.

Atonio spent his long playing career representing his longtime club Stade Rochelais alongside the French national team. Following his sudden medical retirement, he is taking on a coaching role aimed at inspiring the next generation of rugby talent at the club.
