The Story in 60 Seconds

Rugby's historic return to the redeveloped St Helen's ground was halted for 15 minutes following a serious injury to Swansea RFC wing Iwan Glynn. The incident occurred during the second half of Swansea's match against Ebbw Vale as Glynn attempted to score in the corner. Medical staff from both clubs treated him on the pitch before he was transported to a hospital, where the club confirmed he was "up and alert."

The match marked the debut of the iconic venue's new 4G pitch, which is part of an ongoing multi-million-pound redevelopment funded by Swansea Council and the Ospreys. Despite Swansea building a 26-10 lead, Ebbw Vale mounted a comeback to win 27-26. The stadium is scheduled to host the Ospreys' United Rugby Championship derby against Dragons later in the month.
