SPOTLIGHT: Opportunities to prove your worth at Test level will be limited as the World Cup draws nearer and that's why Perth will be a big stage for some of the Springboks' fringe players.

South Africa made 13 changes to their starting lineup ahead of Sunday's match against the Wallabies in Perth following their series against the All Blacks. Prop Zachary Porthen is set to earn his eighth Test cap, joining Jan-Hendrik Wessels and Johan Grobbelaar in the front row as fringe players get an opportunity to impress the coaching staff.
Porthen noted that the refreshed squad is motivated and eager to prove themselves despite the extensive roster adjustments. He also commented on the leadership within the squad, highlighting the roles played by Andre Esterhuizen, Eben Etzebeth, and Franco Mostert during team preparations.
