The 23-year-old has made the move to the English Premiership…

Professional rugby lock Rob Carmichael has joined English Premiership side Newcastle after departing Edinburgh. Standing at 6'11, the 23-year-old is believed to be the tallest active professional rugby player. While eligible to represent Wales, Scotland, and birth country Hong Kong internationally, Carmichael has not yet made a final decision on his national team allegiance.
Head coach Dan McFarland praised Carmichael as a talented prospect who offers vital squad depth across multiple competitions. Carmichael previously came through the Leicester Tigers academy and represented the England under-20 team before making three appearances for Edinburgh.
