Racing 92 centre Paul Costes has been hospitalized after being involved in a road traffic incident on Thursday. According to reports from French outlets La Dépêche du Midi and L'Équipe, the 23-year-old lost control of his scooter in wet conditions and suffered serious injuries to his spleen and liver. He is expected to stay under medical observation until Sunday.
The injuries are anticipated to sideline Costes for several months, presenting a significant setback for Racing 92. Costes, who joined Racing 92 from Toulouse during the summer, previously won the Champions Cup and the Top 14 title with Toulouse, as well as the 2023 World Rugby Under-20 Championship with France.
