When Fabien Reboul injured himself and was forced to withdraw from his doubles match at the China Open, his well-wishers must have hoped for a speedy recovery. However, in light of a new medical update shared by the 31-year-old Frenchman…

French doubles specialist Fabien Reboul will undergo surgery after suffering a torn meniscus and partially torn cruciate ligaments in his left knee at the China Open. The 31-year-old was forced to retire alongside partner Sadio Doumbia during their match against Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni after awkwardly crouching to return a smash.
Reboul's recovery timeline is estimated between two and six months depending on the severity of the tears confirmed during examinations in Paris. The setback effectively ends Reboul and Doumbia's push to qualify for the season-ending ATP Finals in Turin.
