Carlos Alcaraz shared his thoughts on the string of upsets at the Paris Masters after top seeds Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev suffered early exits. Alcaraz progressed by defeating Alex Michelsen 7-6(4), 6-3 to extend his winning run to six matches. He noted that the compact one-week tournament format makes every round highly challenging for the top players.
Zverev fell to Lorenzo Musetti, while Djokovic was beaten by Rinky Hijikata on a day of major seeded departures. Alcaraz, now the highest-ranked competitor remaining in the tournament, noted the fast indoor conditions in Paris and is set to face Matteo Berrettini in the next round.
