"This could be the worst thing I have ever seen on a tennis court."

Former world No. 1 doubles player Rennae Stubbs has called for French tennis player Terence Atmane to be suspended for months following a dangerous incident at the Shanghai Open. During his qualifying defeat against Bernard Tomic, the 24-year-old threw his racket toward the crowd, which was blocked by a railing, resulting only in a point penalty rather than a default.
Speaking on her podcast, Stubbs argued that Atmane's actions warranted an immediate disqualification and a multi-month ban, referencing a prior incident this year where he kicked a racket into the stands at the Hamburg Open. Co-host Caitlin Thompson described it as a miracle that no spectators were injured during the match.
