Jannik Sinner has officially closed the curtain on his 2026 season because of his knee injury. It’s a huge blow to the ATP Tour, his fans, and the player himself, with the sport of tennis undoubtedly taking a huge hit…
Jannik Sinner has decided to end his 2026 tennis season early due to a persistent right knee injury. The Italian star has not played since winning Wimbledon in the summer, choosing to focus on his long-term health rather than rushing his return to the ATP Tour.
Sinner concluded his 2026 campaign with a remarkable 44-3 match record, claiming six titles out of nine tournaments, including Wimbledon and five ATP Masters 1000 events. Although he accumulated $11,589,398 in prize money, he is expected to surrender his world number one ranking to Alexander Zverev before the year ends.
