"Not only is he (Djokovic) that good, but it may expose tennis a little bit..."

Jimmy Connors argued that Novak Djokovic's recent China Open victory exposed younger rivals on the ATP Tour. Djokovic claimed a record-extending seventh China Open title in Beijing, securing his 102nd career title at age 39 and maintaining a 34-0 record at the event. Speaking on the Advantage Connors podcast, Connors warned the sport not to write off the veteran.
Connors compared Djokovic's longevity to his own run to the US Open semifinals at age 39 following a wrist injury. He stated that a veteran winning tournaments shows younger competitors need to improve and take their place, while noting that Jannik Sinner's absence created further opportunities.
