Fans have been longing for Nadal to become a coach.

Rafael Nadal has addressed whether he would consider becoming a tennis coach, stating that while one should "never say never," coaching is not currently part of his plans. Nadal explained that after non-stop travel, he wants to focus on his family, projects, and beginning a "new chapter" rather than committing to the demanding schedule of coaching on the ATP Tour.
Nadal's comments come ahead of the Rafael Nadal Academy Slam exhibition, where he will lead a team alongside Carlos Moya, Richard Gasquet, and David Ferrer against Andy Murray's squad. Nadal also praised academy graduate Alex Eala, who broke into the WTA top 20 after winning the 2026 Washington Open.
