Red Bull has admitted its car has been “more difficult than we expected” at the US F1 race.

Red Bull technical director Pierre Wache admitted that balancing the team's Formula 1 car at the bumpy Circuit of the Americas has proven more difficult than expected during the United States Grand Prix weekend. While Max Verstappen remained competitive by finishing second in FP1 and third in FP2, teammate Isack Hadjar struggled significantly, ending the second session in ninth place.
Hadjar reported that his car became extremely difficult to drive after switching to soft tires, prompting a need to reset before qualifying. Wache emphasized that Red Bull must balance high- and low-speed performance across both cars while prioritizing tire degradation for the race over single-lap pace.
