Tyson Bagent will be the Bears' starting quarterback for Sunday's game at the Packers, coach Ben Johnson announced Monday.

Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson announced Monday that quarterback Tyson Bagent will start against the Green Bay Packers. Regular starter Caleb Williams will miss his third straight game as he continues to recover from a hamstring strain suffered on September 20. Johnson stated that Williams is progressing well in rehabilitation but remains week-to-week.
Bagent previously guided Chicago to a 23-12 victory over the New York Jets, completing 25 of 34 passes for 268 yards and one interception. Johnson praised Bagent's tempo and command of the offense, though he noted the unit must improve its red-zone efficiency and protect the football better heading into their divisional matchup.
