Elsewhere in the tournament, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and defending champion Valentin Vacherot all advanced with victories. Medvedev was competing in his first match since his default in Beijing, while world No. 1 Jannik Sinner previously withdrew from the event due to a season-ending knee injury.
