New York Giants fans are surprisingly sticking up for embattled linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux amid a disappointing start.
Jake Elman of GMEN HQ argues that New York Giants fans and coach John Harbaugh are making excuses for Kayvon Thibodeaux despite his lack of pass-rush production. Although fans praised his run defense on Reddit and Harbaugh claimed the edge rusher is being underestimated, Elman highlights that Thibodeaux has recorded zero sacks, zero tackles for loss, and no quarterback hits in five consecutive games.
Elman contends that a former top-five pick playing on his fifth-year option must deliver more, particularly with Brian Burns sidelined by a torn ACL. Despite the Giants' 3-1-1 start, the writer insists Thibodeaux is failing to live up to expectations as a true defensive difference-maker.
