This former NFL MVP isn't sold on the New York Giants decision to make J.J. McCarthy their new starting quarterback just yet.

Former NFL MVP Rich Gannon voiced significant concerns regarding New York Giants quarterback J.J. McCarthy despite his recent promotion to starter. Gannon stated in an interview with casino.org that McCarthy's accuracy, decision-making, and lack of anticipation remain troubling, noting the game still appears too fast for the young quarterback.
The Giants officially named McCarthy the Week 7 starter against the Houston Texans after benching Jameis Winston. McCarthy, acquired earlier this season from the Minnesota Vikings for a 2027 fifth-round pick following Jaxson Dart's season-ending injury, earned the starting role after completing 11 of 21 passes for 243 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in relief against the New Orleans Saints.
