When the division series makes its way to The Bronx, Max Fried will get the ball first for the Yankees.

The New York Yankees plan to start Max Fried in Game 3 and Carlos Rodón in Game 4 of the American League Division Series. Manager Aaron Boone revealed the rotation schedule ahead of the team's 5-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field, noting the sequence is designed around their recent rest and preparation schedules.
Fried is scheduled to pitch on six days of rest, while Rodón last threw in a simulated game after not pitching in an official contest since September 22. Boone noted the plan remains subject to change as the series progresses, with potential bullpen scenarios also being weighed for Rodón or Game 1 starter Gerrit Cole.
