Jameis Winston rallied the Giants from a late 14-point deficit, but Cam Skattebo fumbled and Washington couldn't get a final play off.

The Washington Commanders and New York Giants played to a bizarre 27-27 tie on Sunday at Northwest Stadium following repeated errors in overtime. Washington held a 14-point fourth-quarter lead before Giants quarterback Jameis Winston led two touchdown drives to force the extra period. In overtime, New York missed a field goal and Cam Skattebo lost a fumble, giving Washington an opening to claim victory.
However, the Commanders failed to manage the clock in the closing seconds. Quarterback Jayden Daniels took a sack at the Giants' 24-yard line with no timeouts remaining, allowing time to expire before Washington could attempt a game-winning field goal. Commanders coach Dan Quinn assumed full responsibility for the clock management miscue afterward.
