The Vancouver Canucks have placed center Aatu Raty on waivers, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman. The transaction was made to clear roster space as Vancouver prepares to activate forward Filip Chytil from injured reserve following a muscular shoulder strain. If Raty clears waivers without being claimed, the Canucks plan to assign him to the AHL's Abbotsford Canucks.
While Raty has recorded 12 goals and 26 points over 103 career games, he holds significant value due to his strong 59.5% faceoff win rate since the 2024-25 season. He also carries an affordable league-minimum salary and remains under team control through the 2029-30 season.
