A key All Blacks back has been ruled out of the Bledisloe Cup series against the Wallabies, while two heavyweight forwards return to the squad.

Flyhalf Ruben Love has been ruled out of the Bledisloe Cup series against the Wallabies due to a foot injury. Coach Dave Rennie named a 34-man All Blacks squad for the upcoming Tests in Auckland on October 10 and Sydney a week later. Captain Ardie Savea remains sidelined for the rest of the 2026 season following shoulder surgery, with hooker Codie Taylor continuing as captain.
In positive news for New Zealand, forwards Scott Barrett and Shannon Frizell have returned to the squad after recent appearances in the NPC. Several other players remain unavailable through injury, including Patrick Tuipulotu, Luke Jacobson, Anton Lienert-Brown, and Caleb Clarke.
